Description:

As IC, Div/Grp Supervisor, or whatever role you may find yourself in, being organized and maintaining control of your resources is essential to running a safe and effective operation.

What do you use to manage your Incidents and track your resources?  Something that you have to carry around with you on-scene? A clipboard that's back on the rig? Maybe you use a piece of paper. What's going to happen to that paper when it gets wet?

Don't lose all your important information by using something other than a Turnout Card.

Turnout Cards fit easily inside a turnout pocket or in your brush gear.  Whether you use it during the initial stages of an Incident, to manage a Division, or simply to jot down important information. Always have a card handy to keep track of anything.

Get our 5 most popular Turnout Cards.

  • Structure Fire Turnout Card
  • Wildland Turnout Card
  • Mass Casualty Turnout Card
  • HazMat Turnout Card
  • ScratchPad Turnout Card

The four Incident-Specific Cards above tend to be the most common incidents in which you might have to manage more than the first alarm assignment.

Each Incident-Specific Card contains a list of Essential Tasks, so you don't overlook anything when the proverbial sh#t is hitting the fan.

There's space to sketch the incident to help you better visualize the big picture. Or use that space for something else, like jotting down notes or other important information.

The ScratchPad is an invaluable addition when it comes to capturing all that important information.

When used with an "Ultra Fine Point" Permanent Marker, Turnout Cards won't smear or run. Your notes are there to stay!

Easily cleaned after the incident with a little rubbing alcohol or acetone, your Turnout Cards are ready for the next call.

FAQ
  1. Where are the cards made?
  • Turnout Cards are made in the United States. Specifically, Boise Idaho.
  1. Are the "Essential Tasks" lists from a specific publication or source?
  • No. As of now, these tasks are simply ones that I found useful during my time in the Fire Service. However, these lists can be customized on larger orders.
  1. Can you write on the cards with a regular pen?
  • You can write on the cards with a regular ballpoint pen. However, we have found that ballpoint pens do not write as well as a Sharpie. They do not clean up nearly as well either. We have had the best luck using an "Ultra Fine Point" Sharpie and recommend this type of pen for use with the cards.
  1. Whats the best way to clean  the cards after I use them?
  • We recommend using something soft like a cotton ball with a small amount of rubbing alcohol or acetone to clean your cards. Rougher products like paper towels can scratch the laminate. In a pinch, WD-40 will remove permanent marker but it also tends to leave a slight oily film on the card.
